Cake eating can lead to dental decay... and we are aware of all this since we hear it from our dentist every time we go for check ups and especially when they find problems with our teeth.
I just done some dental work that was due for years and found out the hard way it was better taking care earlier.. but that is another issue that I have to work on:-)
Now that I paid close to $10,000.00 to bring my teeth and my mouth back to normal (I only done the upper part:-) I really got the message loud and clear (finally).
The message is simple...
1. perform daily cleaning, brushing and flossing...
2. visit a specialized dentist every four to six months...
3. perform what ever dental work is required at the time and keep doing this for ever
Well, this is what I believe it is a simple way to keep your teeth, have them healthy and of course, maintain your gum's in great healthy conditions...
Amazingly there s plenty of good information around for all of us to learn from... and talking about that, I like to share what I just read lately: " According to the Academy of General Dentistry, flossing is just as important as brushing for teeth and gum health. Flossing helps remove the debris and plaque that stick to teeth and gums in between the teeth. It also helps control bad breath and polishes the tooth's surface. Water picks and electric flossing are not as effective as manual flossing. Floss at least once a day."
So here you have it... my opinion and experience, and also a professional opinion...
Hope we will follow the the inner gut feeling about our health and our teeth and of course make it a habit to always take care the best way we know how.
