The Vegannaise Jar

This has been going around for a while... but
is always worth reading... enjoy!!!!

The Vegannaise Jar

This was sent to me and I felt that it was such a good piece that I had to share it with you.

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle,
When 24 hours in a day is not enough;
remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class
and had some items in front of him.

When the class began, wordlessly,
he picked up a very large and empty vegannaise jar
and start to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
it into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again
if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand
and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded
With an unanimous ’yes.’

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table
and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively
filling the empty space between the sand.
The students laughed.

‘Now,’ said the professor, as the laughter subsided,
‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things – God, family,
children, health, friends, and favorite passions
Things that if everything else was lost
and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the things that matter like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else –
The small stuff.

‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ he continued,
‘there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for the things that are
important to you.

So…

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play with your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.

There will always be time
to clean the house and fix the dripping tap.

‘Take care of the golf balls first –
The things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.’

One of the students raised her hand
and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled.

‘I’m glad you asked’.

It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.’

DEALER BUY-IN

Something that attracted my attention.. hope it attract yours as well and use this strategy with what ever noble you are involved in... good luck.

DEALER BUY-IN

What you say if I tell you that your wife or significant other is very wise in the ways they'll part with one thousand dollars. Just think about this scenario... you are at the dinner table (eating what your wife prepared) and you want to discuss what would be best to do for your next guerrilla marketing strategy with out costing you a fortune. Your intention and first idea would have been to invite 500 dealers from around the nation on a factory tour and to include a free lunch as well, and even as you were discussing it, you knew that would be far too high an expense for your Special Markets Company of Toronto.

So your wife, after asking how is the vegan cherry pie she just placed on the table, tossed the idea to mail them an invitation to receive permission to send a package containing a can of vegetable soup, a mug with your company name logo printed on it, a packet of natural cocoa and a bag assorted natural nuts and seed, and include a professionally made video of a nine-minute factory tour.

Well, you did not agree right away that was a great idea and it would cost a lot less then invite all the dealers... but you went ahead and implemented the idea to the letter. Wow, what a surprise, once the dust settled down your results where astounding, a full 120 of the dealers invited granted permission, and more then 50 of them increased their sales of your products of more then 40% during the next sixty days. What did all this cost you? The entire campaign cost: $1,000. It was not free, but boy, it was definitely a smart guerrilla marketing bargain. Think co-op. Think creatively. Think wise wife. Think Vegan...

A comment

A reply to an email from a friend and colleague,

Hi James,
thanks for the opportunity.

You asked for a comment and/or opinion...

So here it is mine for what is worth...

I will make a comment as I talk to my self, so you do not have to feel uncomfortable if for some reason you do not agree, OK???

Have not made any money by working on the internet YET.. but sure have learned a few things here and there,... so the comment, come from past experiences that have made some impact in my life.

1st ... When sending an email message of this kind... I would be more tactful and more genuine in the best wishes.
2nd ... I would ask permission if they are ready and willing to read/listen what I have to introduce.
3rd ... At the closing of the message, would add a thank you note, plus, and as you did... ask for comment or opinion.

Ok, James, hope this helps in some way.. and by the way, thanks for sending this message... I learn a lot from it and I like to thank you for giving the opportunity to share what my thoughts are and hope we will make the world better as we learn from each others :-).

I took a look at the offer, but since I am in a bind (financially) at this time... I just could not even finish to watch the presentation.. and for your info... 3 years a go I was on top of the world (feeling good about my finances) then I listened to a financial adviser (who did not want to listen to me to invest my money in Gold) and now I am $480,000 down the hole.

I can see from your profile that YOU are successful in many ways...

I wish you great success in the future and hope what you wrote is true and keep doing what works for you.

I am at a stage in my life that need attention... and I am doing my very best. With God on My Side, hope to make it and make it great in every way, emotionally, physically, spiritually and yes, financially.

Choosing what, how and when to do anything is as critical as my present situation... must be strong, courageous alert and wise, along with praying with all my heart to God as often as possible to be worth of His Compassion and come to my assistance to help me make it for the sake of the one's I love and care.

5:30am... where are you?

So, here I am at 5:30am in my newly renovated cottage (witch is not completely finished yet) with a ton of thoughts and goals running through my mind and ready to execute them all, one by one...

Yes, I reached the ripe age of 65 but within I feel like I am in my thirties, ready and willing to fire off all I got to succeed for my own personal enjoy fulfillment and of course.. to pave the way for my two son's to become as successful physically, emotionally, spiritually and MUCH, MUCH more.

As I sit here, looking out the window and watching the sun rising from the east and looking at the water of the slow flowing river behind the cottage, some thoughts come to mind and one is that at the age of 65, because of some bad financial decisions made in the past, I am not at peace as much as I wanted to, because I did not achieve the level of financial stability to be comfortable with and that made me reflect a lot, especially of what is most important...

Then I regained my pose and what happen in the past was vanished... the present took over and love it... so what is important right now, this moment?

First and foremost is the direct connection with God... (thanks to Supreme Master Ching Hai this have been possible for many years now) THANKS so much.

Be healthy and stay healthy is as important because I my view, God give life and it is a duty to maintain it as best as possible and adopting a vegan lifestyle is assisting me doing that very well (thanks to God again).

Then comes what is always in my heart, what drive me deeper and deeper into all kinds of ventures with the intentions to succeed and that is the love I have for my two son's, my grand children's and my family.

Of course, financial freedom is also essential since financial stability is required to smooth out life for the better for as long as God allow me to be here on earth.

Yes, all of the above is running on the back of my mind just as the flowing water of the river as I enjoy the peace and tranquility that the cottage country is offering, and I compare those thoughts as with the river water that is running down stream.

What come to mind is obvious, either do what is essential right now or it is lost for ever... now, this moment is the most precious time in life, and it is a must to fulfill the dream or the time will lost for ever just as the passing water of the river...

As life have evolved so far, this strong inner feeling make me crave for finding ways to live a better lifestyle, how to assist others doing the same by earning extra income in a noble way, and I believe this is part of the whole to sustain a comfortable lifestyle.

This strong inner feeling is alive at all times, I know it will become a reality, I will make it and make it... do not know how but I KNOW IT WILL BECOME A REALITY SOON...

Love to make it for my self, (that would be simple by the way) but essentially love to make it for others, love to assist others in any witch way possible... that is what make me feel great and always enjoyed (yes, sometime it back fired, and that hurts) but that never stopped me from moving forward and do it again and again.

Doing what I love to do is keeping me going and striving to succeed in every way possible, including financially, knowing that along the way I will be emotionally fulfilled and spiritually at peace and hope everyone I am in touch will benefit in some ways.

Not sure if I am an entrepreneur... but love the feeling of being one, so I self proclaim my self as an entrepreneur and with that in mind I like to share with you a video that I was introduced a few days a go in the blog of The Customer Advantage witch I am a member and invite all of you to join (it's free and it will be free forever)come and take a look if this is something you like to get involved with, join our team to make a difference in your life, your family life, your friends life and assist your local small and large businesses and entrepreneurs.

Thanks for reading this post... wishing an abundance of Health, Wealth and Harmony to all.
