2012 is here...

What Lessons Did We Learn in 2011 and How Can we Use them to Prosper in 2012

by nick catricala
A question for you... since we need to relate in order to know we exist, communication is essential and it does not matter if it's on a personal level or business , marketing or sales or what ever... correct?
Be Honest with Your Self... Ha! "Truth Hurts" but will make us strong:-)
Let' see what can we write about this... the way I see it, while living our journey here on earth, we relate, learn, and accumulate experiences... ssssooooooooooo here is my question:
Q; How in the world we can use our past physical, emotional and
spiritual experiences to prosper in the new year 2012 and beyond?
2012 mark the historical (for me) year going to 66 years of age... wow, as a number it seam to be small, only 66 but I must say that just thinking of all these years and recalling the many experiences... I feel a lot older, more like 99, but I must confess, I am lucky... I do not feel that old at all... since I am grateful to God for giving great health, be full of energy and active at all times... BUT in spite of all these good actions, learned to surrender many youthful activities like running... now I just walk.
Please take some time to reflect on this if it is important to you and when ready, comment here or mentally make a  note for you to remember what is best for you to do in the future and I wish all this will assist you to prosper in every witch way possible to make your life and the lives of the people you love most.. INCREDIBLE!!!!!
1 - What is that you have learned in the past?
2 - From what you learn in the past, what changes will you implement in 2012?
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Training Matter

If you like this article... you have permission to share with your friends. Thanks :-)
Be alert and aware of your environment and surroundings while go around and about this Christmas and New Year season and for various reason, my suggest is that we do this at all times since the world is changing rapidly and much more turmoils are on the increase :-)
As many people have said before, we are not as safe as we used to because in some parts of the country and the world, crime is on the increase and being prepared will help.
Today I wanted to point out an article that was published in "Newser". I normally do not like to give power to the negatives but this article, even though it is negative, I see it as a positive in many ways and hope you agree with me and take action.
This article reminded me a lot of when, back in 1974 just after midnight, as I was working as a bus driver 3 young men entered my bus for a ride and assaulted me after asking them to pay the fare or present a transfer.
What happen after that is a long story but to make it short, I was assaulted, punched and kicked, mind you I was lucky to be alive and so, soon after I regain most of my health back (I sustained a lot of injuries) I went to sign up to train myself in the martial arts so I would be prepared to defend my self in case I would have to face another assault.
After a few days of search I finally landed in a Dojo that I felt comfortable and start my Martial Art training, of all the students, I was the oldest and I could sense the uncomfortable feeling others had about me since they felt that I was to old to train,in spite of all that, my perseverance continued for months till I was not seen as the oldest student who could not train as they did, I become just another student, since I was able to keep up with all the training just as anyone else, even though they where much younger then me.
What happen to my confidence, almost instantly, was amazing. I become so confident that I felt as I was ready to face anyone in case of a would be assault, but the best thing was that I did not need to, my training was to defend my self and the main lesson was that the training was geared toward avoiding fighting and that was the amazing thing. Our Sensei could take on anyone but he always teach us to avoid fighting unless your life is at risk, if that happen, then defend your self with what you have and most times our hands were more then enough.
He often reminded us of many of his instances when instead of fighting when some one provoked him, instead of  giving the other person a chance to fight, he would walk away and sometime run away so he would not have to fight... only few times he had to fight back to defend himself and when that happen, the opponent would be on the ground even before he was going to hit him.
So much for all that... focusing on the story of today, here I was every day in the Dojo to be trained in the martial arts and fight with anyone with intention to assault me and instead I learned that once you know how to defend your self, you become confident and so you do not feel like fighting anymore... just feel good about your self since you know you can defend your self if the chance come along.
That is what is the meaning here of "Training Matter". Training matter because when you are facing any challenges along your journey of life, no matter what it is, as long as you have been trained on that subject, or art or what ever, you really do not look forward to create challenges or to fight, you just feel strong and very confident that no matter what come along, you will be just fine... this is what instilled in me since then and I must confess that it have worked many, many times in my life since then and in many different challenges.
Hope this short message will instill you to get trained in all what you feel that you need training... find a good teacher, Sensei, listen, practice and soon you will experience what I experienced many times and more... you will become a new person, a better person all around because your confidence will increase and that confidence will lead you to succeed much fester and no matter what the outcome, you know that you are fine, you know that you know, as the saying go.
Beside what was written above, let me share with you another reason why I decided to write about this topic, the idea come after reading a short article in the "Newser"... Usually I do not read newspapers or any other news publications, but from time to time some articles pop up while I search the Internet for my work or study and so this morning this article come up, it was regarding an assault...
The article states that there is a very valuable lesson to be Trained in Martial Arts and Ultimate Fighting, training matter, even if the training is done for other reason such as exercising and or being fit.
Here is the article: "Reason not to mug someone trained in mixed martial arts and Ultimate Fighting: Anthony Miranda's police mugshot. Chicago police say Miranda, 24, pulled a gun on a man sitting in a car, then demanded that the man get out. That's when the "victim," identified only as Justin by the Chicago Sun-Times, managed to grab the weapon and keep the suspect pinned until police arrived. From the looks of things, he landed a punch or two or three.
“I don’t feel like a hero,” said Justin. “Training matters. If you’re well trained, you have a chance to survive.” More bad news for Miranda: He discharged the gun during the melee, apparently by accident, and caught a bullet in the ankle."

These Christmas and New Year Season's be alert... share this info with the one you love and start training on what you feel that you need training... it will be great for you in many ways.

Good luck and best of everything...

P.S. This is off topic, hope you do not mind me adding it here, because as I shared above, getting trained on anything that you feel you need training, is essential to succeed in life and to feel confident no matter what challenges life send your way...

Freedom from Karma

The site of the partially restored remains of the village of Koaiʻe in the Lapakahi State Historical Park of the island of Hawaii, North Kohala district. Beginning in the early 20th century, this village has been a center for lapaʻau
In 1976 Morrnah Simeona, regarded as a healing priest or kahuna lapaʻau, adapted the traditional hoʻoponopono of family mutual forgiveness to the social realities of the modern day. For this she extended it both to a general problem solving process outside the family and to a psycho-spiritual self-help rather than group process.
Simeona’s version is influenced by her Christian (Protestant and Catholic) education and her philosophical studies about India, China and Edgar Cayce. Like Hawaiian tradition she emphasizes prayer. Unlike Hawaiian tradition, she describes problems as the effects of negative Karma, saying that “you have to experience by yourself what you have done to others,” and you are the creator of your life circumstances. Any wrong doing is memorized within oneself and mirrored in every entity and object which was present when the cause happened. As the Law of Cause and Effect predominates in all of life and lifetimes, the purpose of her version is mainly “to release unhappy, negative experiences in past Reincarnations, and to resolve and remove traumas from the ‘memory banks’. Karmic bondages hinder the evolution of mind, so that “(karmic) cleansing is a requisite for the expansion of awareness.Using her 14-step-process would dissolve those bondages. She did not use mantras or conditioning exercises.
Her teachings include: there is a Divine Creator who takes care of altruistic pleas of Men; “when the phrase ‘And it is done’ is used after a prayer, it means Man’s work ends and God’s begins. ‘Self-Identity’ signifies, e.g. during the hoʻoponopono, that the 3 selves or aspects of consciousness are balanced and connected with the Divine Creator. Different from egoistic prayers “altruistic prayers like hoʻoponopono, where you also pray for the release of other entities and objects, reach the Divine plane or Cosmos because of their high vibrations. From that plane the Divine energy or mana would come, which would transform the painful part of the memory of the wrong actions in all participants to Pure Light, on whatever plane they are existing; “all are set free. Through this transmutation in the mind the problems will lose their energy for physical effects, and healing or balancing is begun. In this sense, Simeona’s mana is not the same as the traditional Polynesian understanding of Mana.
