Humble Power in Simplicity — it's a beautiful thing.

Last blog post was a hit in many way but mostly because many caring people took time to read and leave comments to share how they use the KISS principle and how powerful it may be.
The comments prompted me to return the caring of my friends as best as I know
how now and went on to read their blog posts and boy, boy, did I get a big surprise.
Pleasantly surprised because have I not read all of them, I could not imagine that so many talented people were out there ready to share for free very, very valuable information, just because they care to support others in the field that they are more knowledgeable.
"Humble Power in Simplicity" at work
From the comments receive on my past post, I noticed one single element that was
almost present in all of them... and that was how powerful the KISS principle is and how other people use it, and most of all, how is so powerful to make things happen faster and in a very simple way, I call that the "Humble Power in Simplicity"
I may not be an expert on making things simple, at times, I too make things very
complicated and when that happen, I kick myself for doing it, but since I probably done it thousands of times before without knowing... Sooo when I get in the trap of making things difficult, recognizing that I must be gentle and loving to myself, slowly get back on track, by living and or doing things in a simple way once again.
This is where the power in simplicity
become a beautiful thing and love it.
Many people who come across along the pathway of life, have helped me knowingly and unknowingly and now love to thank them all... hope we cross pathways again and so I can thank them personally. Everyone supported me to discover and be aware that things are not going smooth, and they shared with me a simple sign (could have been anything they say, did or whatever) and that triggered to start using the KISS principle while interacting with them or while coaching, in person, by phone or over the internet...
The powerful feeling to use a simple principle, usually prompt me to do everything possible to slowly get back to the some simple solutions or in other words, as my friend say, get back to "Keep it Simply Simple."
Real, Life Example
The other day had to deal with a rather very sensitive and personal issue that have been going on for a long time, and at the simultaneously, deal with second issue concerning my health and well being (a very painful foot that made hard for me to walk).
I live 20 minutes between two small towns in a cottage country, and the place is surrounded by nature, bushes, wild animals, forest and rivers. My choice to be here was mainly to enjoy the silence, privacy and outdoors and since I like walking, that is the main thing I love to do every day, but when some health challenges show up, it is not fun... the other day was one of those days, and topping it off with the other personal and sensitive issue with a friend... I tell you it sure was not a fun week.
Mother Theresa saying... "Do it Anyway"
Well, my foot was hurting and my mind was not clear... so what to do? I went for a
walk anyway and made it for a round trip of 7 Kilometres... once done, my foot was hurting more, but making it back to my home after walking 7 KM, made me feel great and forgetting the pain and the challenge. Plus, after taking a shower, wrote a note to my friend and simple explained what was the challenge and solution in a very simple way.
Once that part was done, I felt much better knowing it was done properly and simply stated to be understood, not necessarily accepted, but understood. That was my aim, and I felt very good about it, proving that using the "Humble Power in Simplicity" can be very helpful.
What I received as a reply from my friend, did not confirm what was simply stated in my message... rather, it was made more complicated thanks to what I believe was an egotistical reaction... so again I used the invisible "Humble Power in Simplicity" and said nothing in return... by the evening I receive more messages and finally at the end, I felt that even after deciding to not reply, my friend slowly demonstrated that she was actually using the Humble Power in Simplicity herself, without me mentioning it at all and she come down to the simple solution that she was comfortable with and that solution did not make me feel any more upset, as I was in the early morning.
"Do it Anyway"
In conclusion for this time, I like to add that by examining ourselves FIRST... more
often than not, a simple solution to any challenges is always found... and that is what I come to call it the "Humble Power in Simplicity"
Thanks for reading... I trust you have benefitted in some ways and thanks so much for sharing your contributions for others to better themselves, myself being one of them... without you, all the above and much more, would not have been possible.
May God Guide you and all of us, to the noblest act of all... LOVE.

Vision for the future

Yesterday, as I was reading a book (Spiritual Gems, a book published by Radha Soami Satsang Beas) my yes were glued to each and every word. I could not help it, but keep reading till my eyes where to tired to read and went to sleep...

What was that keep me reading it so intensively?  I can share (the what) with you, but it would not be much of help, unless you do it.

You see, I believe this is something personal and can only be discovered by ourselves... each one of us is at a different state of mind or at a different stage in life and with that said, it will have different results, different feelings or ideas, etc...

But wait, I can share with you some. So please keep reading...

When I first buy the book, a while back while attending one of their Sunday gatherings (I am talking about Sat Mat gatherings)... I used to attend those gatherings every so often, when I lived close to the GTA, but for the last two years I moved 150 KM away, and because of the distance and many other factors that it is best not to go into here, it has not been easy for me to schedule a visit, but will do it soon since I miss it a lot and also, want to buy a few more books that I just discovered I did not buy before, books that are part of a spiritual book collection that I have started a few years ago.

Back to the "Spiritual Gems" book... this book is a collection of letters to disciples around the world, mainly to western world... by Huzur Maharaj Baba Sawan Singh Ji.

What is written on those letters are very precious, or we should say "Gems" as the title imply, but again, this is a personal view and I believe it's best that you go ahead and read the book yourself so you decide if these words are precious or not.

The first thing that attracted my full attention was that I really had to focus hard on every word that was written on those pages... and that really surprised me since in the past, reading any books of this nature was easy (mind you, that was easy for me, after many years of practice)... never the less, I keep reading, slow yes, but I keep reading and it was not long after that, when I realized that I start to understand better and much faster.

This may not be a big thing for you at this time in your life, you may be well ahead of me and that is great... but I am here to attest that for me, the discovery of being able to read  faster and understanding better and enjoying reading immensely more and more, it was a joyful revelation for me.

Soon I was able to put two and two together as the saying go... Yes! Yes? That's it, I say to my self, this is what hoften apply in real life, the life I live each and every day.

Somehow I missed to understand as clearly before, I missed to understand how important that was, but now finally got it... and that is: Once we do start to do anything new, or experience anything new, we tend to give up quickly because we do not understand, or dismiss our gut feeling, our intuition, or not paying attention of what's going on in our life every day in such directions as health, wealth and spirituality... what ever it may be, I am certain you recognize it now, correct?

That was the ha! ha! moment for me to pay attention and I did as best as I could, yes, I was half a sleep, but I did it very well... and this morning, one of the first things I did was pick up the book again and say thanks, thanks with very deep gratitude, thanks to the source, the universal power, thanks to Master.

Thanks Master for allowing me to arrive at the point and understand that life is a journey and (I know you heard this before and I did it as well.. but I never understood as I did yesterday, so please forgive me if I use words that were used many times before), Life is, and most of all, understand much deeper that LIFE IS WHAT WE MAKE of it...

Not sure how much will affect your thinking after reading so far, or if it was important enough for making you read till the end... but I must say again, that all the above made an impact on my life and the vision for the future, an impact that I pray that stay within me at all times and never forget it, and also hope that in some ways you discover what will impact you the most in your life right now, this moment.

Wishing the best of health, peace and confidence to know, within, that each one of us is special in our own way and be grateful for all what come our way, because it's just right and customized for us, according to all what we think, say and do each and every second of our existence here on this planed of ours.

My leap year resolution...

Meditation is part of my life and it has been since 1998... thanks
to my Spiritual Teacher I was finally liberated from misconceptions
about meditation and today after more the 14 years I enjoy it immensely...
hope you meditate your self as well and so you know what I mean :-)

If you require any information, please shoot me a line... I am here to
support you in any way I possibly can.

As we know, once every four years, we encounter a leap year and
surprise... if you were not aware...

Today, February 29-2012 is the day haha :-)

So what we do to celebrate it?

I have a lot to celebrate... to many things and events for me to list them here...
but I can share with you that last week... FINALLY decided to give up a lot of
distractions in my life and focused on one direction in life.. plus, I finally
chosen one direction in business as well by working on one of my businesses at
a time an do a great job according to my knowledge, intelligence and Guidance.

Meditation for me has been a blessing and my intention is to continue for ever till
God call me back to where I come from.

Meditation helped me more then I can write here... and so, I just list some of the
areas where it made the most impact...

Forgive and forget, we heard this before, correct? Well, it was not easy for me.. but
since I learned about karma.. It sure changed things and so I done more then ever
before and continue doing it as I am aware along life.

Relaxing, was another part that I was neglecting... have done lots of it and take the
opportunity to do it as often as possible.

Care, wow, what a wake up call I received once I truly understood what caring mean...
well, I do not have to say much more since you guessed... I continually caring more
and more as best as I know how.

Stand out, ok, ok, my SMALL ego done this more then I wanted to... but in the last 14
years I did a lot to change directions and so I start to stand out more for great and
beneficial things that matter.

Speak up, it is said that I am a man that does not keep much inside... I actually have
been blamed for talking to much in many occasions... guess when it is most evident?
When I do my best to assist others :-)

Contribute, we all do this over and over again consciously or not... and I make a point
to do it more and more consciously... hope you do the same, it is wonderful.

Embrace, embracing means a lot to me... it remind me a time in the past when embracing
100% with gusto saved my life in more ways then one.. so I love to embrace in all I do, say
and think as long as it is NOBLE and beneficial to my self, my family and all human beings
everywhere...

Create, is another virtue that God shared with me abundantly... I keep creating every day
and always strive to create what is useful and beneficial... ok, ok, ok.. sometime I just get
carried away and mess up haha :-)

Give credit, this is not something that I was used to do at all (remember my SMALL EGO
issue??) but with practice I was able to master it and now almost at all situations I am able
to give credit as freely as I would want others to give credit to me.

Smile, hhhahahhahahahah I love to do it every second of my existence here on earth... and I
do it as often as possible... and when I cannot do it... I always look forward to when I am able
to do it again and again :-)speak truth and refuse to compromise--more than we usually do.

Finally I realized I am rumbling about this for to long.. I let you go ahead and start doing what
best you can do to make a difference out there... you can start with any of the above or you can
make up your own... what is important is that you do it and start NOW... it will be great for you
and for every one who care for you and of course the one you care most your self...

Enjoy this Leap Year day more then ever... it only happen every 4 years haha :-)

Hey, it's just one day, but be careful, it might become a habit :-)

Love, peace, harmony and prosperity...

Why? Some how I done what you have done for years...

Get ideas, do something about it for a while and then let them
collect dust (regular and cyber) and move on to the next get rich quick
stuff… That cost me thousands (in the tune of probably $200,000 or
more) and now here I am apologizing to you because finally I found
out what I need to know years a go…

I would love if you can share with me the contacts you have so I can
connect and make this story shine as it should and hoping to assist others
sort out their life in some ways and start walking towards a better direction.

Ho, yes, my SMALL EGO have something to do with all of this… but as

moderation and make things happen for the greater good.

Ok, Dennis, you do what you like with this message… hope it is beneficial in
many ways and you will reply to me here or by my email address…

Thanks for reading it (sorry it is so long) and hope again, that you accept my

not sensing that you where a great person to be associated with….

Look forward to travel with you and others along this great trip.. and ready to
reach the destination, no matter where it is or how long it will take… "

Cell Phones...

Cell phones,

The first cell phone I purchased was so big that and heavy that it was hard to use for to long because it was tiring. That was back in the 1980's Since then, many new models and many more plans come into the market.

For years, I went with the flow and spend a lot of money for new plans and new phones... but for the last 5-6 years now, I have been using a simple phone with a pay-as-you-go plan with Telus and use the phone occasionally and only for convenience... how about you?

I personally have lots of questions and I am certain you have some as well... so let's explore cell phones issues further to assist us decide what is best for us and why.

First of all, being available all the time on your cell phone, is this what you really want?

Do you really want to be available for anyone and everyone on a 24/7 basis?

Many answers can come up from these simple questions, so let me explain more of what I really mean here or better still, let my friend Mario Caruso explain it better then me:

Hi, Mario here, "A famous person once said that the more available you make yourself; the more available everyone will expect you to be".

People will actually be annoyed if you are not instantly and constantly available rather than being pleased when you do call. People expecting you to be available all the time may be annoying. Cell phone calls follow you everywhere you are including your bathroom. Even during nighttime when you want to rest, cell phones continue to ring and annoy you.

If it is important, no problem but if it is very menial, why you need to be bothered so late. Today in this modern society, we live in and the proliferation of cell phones we see people talking anywhere and everywhere.

If used for business, this may prove to be very effective and worthy. However, for very menial issues being bothered in your sleep and even during your bathroom time may be quite annoying if not outright disgusting.

However, if you make yourself available all the time, you created your own nightmare. Cell phone etiquette is getting to be a forgotten concept. You will see people talking on the phone loudly and disturbs people nearby in restaurants and even in offices. I am sure by now, once or twice in a meeting you will notice that when a cell phone rings, almost everyone around will immediately look for their cell phones.

If you were the one talking, and then the person in front of you talks on his phone, how would you feel? I am sure you will feel belittled and ignored. Rude practice, and should be changed. It may help people who use cell phones to follow certain degree of etiquette with respect to the use of cell phones specially in places where you may seem rude if you use or even when your cell phone rings.

When you are in a place of worship, it may be necessary to leave your cell phone in the house or at least turn it off if you do not want to be away with it. This is because ringing cell phone will not just disturb you while you pray it will also disturb others. You do not need to show off your expensive gadget in a place of worship. During meetings, please turn off your cell phone; it is rude to have your phone ringing while somebody speaks.

Disruption may cause problems especially when the meeting tackles extremely important issues. However, if you are waiting for terribly important call, you may use the vibrate mode of your cell phone to alert you when a call is in-coming and leave the meeting if you need to answer the call. You may also inform the possible caller that you are in a meeting and that you cannot be disturbed.

When traveling and if you are on-board an aircraft, you will be required to turn off your phone. This is because electronics devices may interfere with the aircraft’s avionics. Thus, it is a requirement to turn of your phone for safety reasons. However, for extremely long flights, airline companies allow cell phone usage at a certain time, if you really need to make a phone call, use this time allotted if necessary.

Cell phone have become to be a necessity nowadays, that is why most people use it and cell phone manufacturers have continuously develop different usage and functions for this very small gadget. My suggestion is simple, be globally competitive, but you should understand that being rude is not part of modernity. Allow me another suggestion.

My opinion may or may not count (hope it does to assist you in some ways)... follow certain degree of etiquette; this will be very helpful to you and your business.

Please comment especially if you have any personal experience and suggestions...

Thanks so much for reading so far.

Peace, Health, Harmony and Prosperity for all.

Deep Discount Network

... what is Deep Discount Network?

Hello my friend and/or soon to be,Today I like to introduce you to something that may be very, very profitable in these trying times that we are experiencing

Most of us practice what we learn in the past... and many of us really do not have a clue how to deal with hard times, is not their fault since in the lat 2 or 3 decades we had it pretty good.

I believe the time has come for all of us to learn more on How To Live a Great Lifestyle With Less... this does not mean we need to cut down of all what we like... but what it really mean is knowing how and why it's important to use all the help we have available to live better in any environments that present along our pathway of life...

Please read more of what Mark, my friend and associate has to say...

"My close friends are convinced I’m doing something illegal… Most of my business associates have so much money they just think I’m cheap. But look….it’s real simple. If you had access to the powerful money secrets like the ones I’m going to show you’d be insane not to take advantage of them…especially in this economy! Granted….

I’ve made (and kept) a boatload of money. But the fact is I RARELY pay full price for anything. And I do mean anything…….. Hotels, restaurants, outlet malls, plumbers, carpenters, landscapers, cars, boats, trips, jewelry and yes…even real-estate!!

What’s more, in some cases I don’t pay a damn thing! I’ll show you how I do it. And get this….. I’ve discovered a network of private groups and individuals that often disperses FREE MONEY (no gimmicks, no strings and no fine print) to people who know the right way to ask them.

I’ll show you the “right way” to ask! Everything I’m doing is completely legal. I guess you could say I’m “gaming” the system. But I’ll be honest…I love every minute of it! It’s about time somebody had a blast cheating the system and helping others in the process. If you’re like me….and I know you are or you wouldn't still be reading! You love the idea gaining an advantage over the powers that be…..

Then listen very closely….it’ll only take 4 or 5 minutes to read my letter. You’ll discover for yourself some of the techniques I've used to transform myself from a penny pinching cheap skate into a self professed millionaire miser. Welcome to the Secret World of Comps, Deep Discounts and FREE Cash I’m not stupid (at least that’s what I tell myself!). I realize my strategies, tactics and network of contacts probably sounds too good to be true. I’ve been accused of doing stuff that’s illegal or even unethical. I hear it all time.

Here’s an email I received the other day from a guy in Bloomington Minnesota: “Hey Marc….nice con job! Most of the stuff you mention in your letter sounds illegal or at the very least “unethical”. If everything you talk about is so powerful then why hasn't anybody else written about it?” L.R. I’m not sure why no one has written about this secret world of comps, deep discounts, insider tactics and free money. There’s a good chance they don’t know where to look! No Gimmicks.

No Tricks. No Fine Print! Rest assured…"

We always talk about Laying the Foundations... the question today is: Are we doing it???

Please read below what Zig Ziglar have to say...
Enjoy as much as I did and much more...

Laying the Foundation by Zig Ziglar

There are six  characteristics that comprise the foundation stones of your life and your  success. The six characteristics are honesty, character, faith, integrity,  love, and loyalty. All of these foundation stones are necessary to create a  Wheel of Life that is balanced and will produce the kind of success I’ve  described. In my eighty-five years of living I have learned that people who compromise  any of these principles usually end up with only a beggar’s portion of what  life offers them. I’ve seen people acquire money through dishonesty and deceit,  but their friends are few and they lack true peace of mind. The business professional  who alienates his family in his climb to the top is not a success. People who  have no faith in something greater than themselves can only rely on themselves in  times of great difficulty. The longer I live and the more successful people I  meet, the more convinced I become that these foundation stones are the most  critical success weapons you have in your arsenal.
Why are these foundation  stones so important to your success? Well, I’m glad you asked, because I’m going  to tell you! A human being goes through life thinking and doing. Then they  usually do what they think about most of the time. I want to remind you that  you were born to win. I also want to remind you that you are what you are and  where you are because of what’s gone into your mind, but you can change what  you are and where you are by changing what goes into your mind. The reason this  is so is because you generally do what you think. Your thinking drives your  choices. Choices determine the action you take, and action produces the results  of your life. You can only think in ways consistent with the information you have  in your mind. So to change what you do, you have to change the way you think,  and to think differently, you need to change what goes into your mind.
Who we are is determined  by the foundation stones of honesty, character, faith, integrity, love, and  loyalty. The six foundational stones essentially provide the raw material for  all your thinking. As such, they become the core characteristics of what you are,  do, and have, which ultimately determines the results you get in life. These  stones form your code for success or failure because your thinking and your actions  must be consistent with the characteristics of the foundation you build.
I wish it were possible  for me to introduce you to the many personable, persuasive, talented—even  brilliant—people I have met in my travels who are generally just one step in  front of the bill collector and sometimes just two steps ahead of the law. They  are always looking for a “deal” and the “fast buck.” They never build very much  or very high, because they have no foundation to build on. Others don’t realize  that the real opportunity for success lies within the person and not in the job;  that you can best get to the top by getting to the bottom of things and then  climbing the stairs of success, one at a time. Success and happiness are not  matters of chance but choice. The foundation stones provide the basis for making  the right choices.
Zig Ziglar’s Born  to Win: Find Your Success Code compresses  four decades of life-changing tools and practices into an inspiring, concise  and easy-to-use format for bottom-line people who want to grow and improve their  lives “right now!” Click here to find out more or  to purchase your copy of the book.

THE OLD PHONE ON THE WALL

THE OLD PHONE ON THE WALL.
HELLO

When I was a young boy, my father had one of the first telephones in our
neighborhood..
I remember the polished, old case fastened to the wall. The shiny receiver
hung on the side of the box. I was too little to reach the telephone, but
used to listen with fascination when my mother talked to it.

Then I discovered that somewhere inside the wonderful device lived an amazing person.
Her name was "Information Please" and there was nothing she did not know. Information
Please could supply anyone's number and the correct time.

My personal experience with the genie-in-a-bottle came one day while my mother was visiting a neighbor. Amusing myself at the tool bench in the basement, I whacked my finger with a hammer, the pain was terrible, but there seemed no point in crying because there was no one home to give sympathy.
I walked around the house sucking my throbbing finger, finally arriving at the stairway. The telephone! Quickly, I ran for the footstool in the parlor and dragged it to the landing. Climbing up, I unhooked the receiver in the parlor and held it to my ear.
"Information, please" I said into the mouthpiece just above my head.
A click or two and a small clear voice spoke into my ear.
"Information."
"I hurt my finger..." I wailed into the phone, the tears came readily enough now that I had an audience.

"Isn't your mother home?" came the question.
"Nobody's home but me," I blubbered.
"Are you bleeding?" the voice asked.
"No," I replied. "I hit my finger with the hammer and it hurts."
"Can you open the icebox?" she asked.
I said I could.
"Then chip off a little bit of ice and hold it to your finger," said the voice..

After that, I called "Information Please" for everything.. I asked her for help with my geography, and she told me where Philadelphia was. She helped me with my math.
She told me my pet chipmunk that I had caught in the park just ! the day before, would eat fruit and nuts.
Then, there was the time Petey, our pet canary, died. I called,Information Please," and told her the sad story. She listened, and then said things grown-ups say to soothe a child. But I was not consoled. I asked her, "Why is it that birds should sing so beautifully and bring joy to all families, only to end up as a heap of feathers on the bottom of a cage?"
She must have sensed my deep concern, for she said quietly, " Wayne , always remember that there are other worlds to sing in. Somehow I felt better.

Another day I was on the telephone, "Information Please."
"Information," said in the now familiar voice. "How do I spell fix?" I asked.
All this took place in a small town in the Pacific Northwest . When I was nine years old, we moved across the country to Boston . I missed my friend very much.
"Information Please" belonged in that old wooden box back home and I somehow never thought of trying the shiny new phone that sat on the table in the hall. As I grew into my teens, the memories of those childhood conversations never really left me.

Often, in moments of doubt and perplexity I would recall the serene sense of security I had then. I appreciated now how patient, understanding, and kind she was to have spent her time on a little boy.
A few years later, on my way west to college, my plane put down in Seattle . I had about a half-hour or so between planes. I spent 15 minutes or so on the phone with my sister, who lived there now. Then without thinking what I was doing, I dialed my hometown operator and said, "Information Please."

Miraculously, I heard the small, clear voice I knew so well.
"Information."
I hadn't planned this, but I heard myself saying,
"Could you please tell me how to spell fix?"
There was a long pause. Then came the soft spoken answer, "I guess your finger must have healed by now."
I laughed, "So it's really you," I said. "I wonder if you have any idea how much you meant to me during that time?"
I wonder," she said, "if you know how much your call meant to me. I never had any children and I used to look forward to your calls."
I told her how often I had thought of her over the years and I asked if I could call her again when I came back to visit my sister.

"Please do", she said. "Just ask for Sally."
Three months later I was back in Seattle .  A different voice answered,
"Information."
I asked for Sally.
"Are you a friend?" she said.
"Yes, a very old friend," I answered.
"I'm sorry to have to tell you this,"She said. "Sally had been working part time the last few years because she was sickShe died five weeks ago."
Before I could hang up, she said, "
Wait a minute, did you say your name was Wayne ?"
Yes." I answered.
"Well, Sally left a message for you.
She wrote it down in case you called.
Let me read it to you."
The note said,
"Tell him there are other worlds to sing in.
He'll know what I mean."
I thanked her and hung up. I knew what Sally meant.

Never underestimate the impression you may make on others..Whose life have you touched today?
Why not pass this on? I just did...

Lifting you on eagle's wings.
May you find the joy and peace you long for.
Life is a journey... NOT a guided tour.
I loved this story and just had to pass it on-I hope you enjoy it too.

Confusion...

Confusion has been around me since I receive an early phone call this morning at around 7am...
To much to write here and explain... but I must say that was not the way I intended to start my day... but some how it was forced on me...
Sound familiar?
Well, I believe it does for some of us anyway, so here is what made me feel better and some how will assist me to fell better from now on, even if someone decide to call me to let me know they will not come back to finish a job that was started more then two months a go....
Be Well....
All things will be fine,
For as long as the sun is giving out light,
When life covers with storm, flood, snow, mud or rain...
It's just another day goes through the cycle of life,
At the end...
All things will be fine.

New Blog Name...
well, not so new.. it is my last own name.. but since I was
not aware of having the blog named "nicavita Blog" and then
in some ways there was nick catricala in there as well... I
decided to make it simple for me and hope it is much less
confusing for you..
Maintaining multiple blogs is fine, but having one with two
names... well, it was not nice, sorry:-)
Yesterday decided to re-name  http://nicavita.blogspot.com/
to http://catricala.blogspot.com/ ... all this was confusing to
me, hope this did not confuse you and others.. if it did, I
am sorry and hope from today on you will look for  http://catricala.blogspot.com/ .. thanks :-)

Now that we have this behind us... love to share activities I
have most days...4-430 am I get up, usually wake up
energetic enough to get up... if not, I stay in bed longer.
After a few natural errands, and drink water with some
supplements that need to be taken on an empty stomach,
I sometime read a book, or write notes and or go on the
computer to get going with work.
By 7:30 8:00 am, I need some brake and so in winter (right
now) I go out to clear some snow from the porch and
driveway... sometime I just go for a short walk in the country
road or bushes across my place.
9:00 to 9:30am... eat extract fresh juice (most times carrot
juice) or orange juice, and then go back to work on what ever
task I took on that day (have many to look after so every day
I do some or finish some and start others :-)
During the day I stay with fresh extracted juices and or eat
some fruits... till I get hungry.
Usually I feel hungry around 4-5:00pm... that is when I create
some dishes from what I find in the fridge (veggies and stuff)
adding some brown rice or rice pasta mixed with some
legumes or veggies.
That what my usual day looks like... but today I received an
email from a friend and found out that he does even better...
I wonder if I could go back to do that (yes, there was a time
when I did spend the day in a similar fashion, that was back
when I was in my 40-50's... to hard now at almost 66 years
of age :-)
This is what he wrote, please note the link at the end if you
are into diet, health and nutrition... :
"This sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?
Getting up at 4:30am every morning, writing, hitting
the gym, and then spending 10 hours in a seminar room...
and dinner meetings to 10pm...
...all weekend?!?!!
But that's what I just did.
Fortunately, I read this article, from my dear friend
and nutrition expert, Isabel De Los Rios, before the
weekend,  so that I had: 5 Easy Steps for Maximum
All-Day Energy

ways to live a noble healthy and busy lifestyle in the best
way that is for you.

Farewell to My Shining Light

Could not resist to share this with you all... I do have a similar experience with my beloved mother that passed away back in 2007... I wrote many pages to express my gratitude for all what God allowed Her to share with me for all my life... but could not write good enough so I could publish it as my friend Robert is... so today, even if it is a sad day for him... I like to share what he wrote so all of you can sense the love that a mother can instill in every one hearts...

Thanks so much Robert...

Farewell to My Shining Light

By Robert Ringer - Monday, January 30, 2012
Most men speak of their mothers as angels, and in that regard I guess I’m not unique.  Some would probably argue that my mother was not unique either, that she was merely one of millions of moms from the greatest generation.
Modern-day feminists would have been horrified by Mom’s lifestyle.  Her day-to-day world consisted primarily of cooking, shopping, keeping her home running smoothly, and, above all, taking care of her children.  I think she just assumed that these were the most important things in every woman’s life.
During her most vibrant years, one of my mother’s greatest joys was her regular canasta and mahjong games with her girlfriends.  I remember her once telling me that her friends were always amazed whenever I came home from school during one of their hotly contested hands and bent over to kiss her on the cheek.  I always felt good that that made her so happy.
Like Ayn Rand, my mother lived through the early years of the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia.  Her father came to the United States first, then brought the rest of the family to America about five years later.
My mom never forgot the long, queasy trip across the Atlantic Ocean and the harrowing experience of being processed, like cattle, through Ellis Island.  Throughout her lifetime, she never boarded another ship and, for the most part, refused to talk about her childhood experiences in Russia.  For my mom, America was the promised land, and, thanks to my hard-working father, she was able to live the American Dream.
Probably as a result of her frightening experience as a child in Russia, Mom never showed any interest in politics.  It was simply outside the realm of her sheltered little world.
Interestingly, in 1996, after she had been living in a nursing home for some time, I asked her who she had voted for in the presidential election.  When she told me it was Bill Clinton, I grimaced and asked her why.  “He seems like a nice man,” she said matter-of-factly.  So when the Democratic vote-gathering troops showed up at her nursing home, she dutifully accommodated them.
Perhaps the one thing that helps offset some of the remorse I’ve experienced for not visiting my mother as much as I would have liked to during the last years of her life is the knowledge that I never once got mad at her, never raised my voice to her, and never showed any disrespect toward her.  Why would I?  She was my mother.
I still have vivid recollections of picking debris up off the floor when I was only six or seven years old because I didn’t want her to have to bend over.  She never asked me to do it.  It was instinctual.
After I moved away in 1970, I made it a ritual to call her every Sunday from wherever I was, even when I lived in New Zealand and Australia.  It wasn’t as good as being there with her in person, but it was my way of letting her know that she was always on my mind.
When it came to health, my mom drew an inside straight.  She never contracted cancer, heart disease, diabetes, or any other serious illness or medical condition.  Though less than five feet tall, she seemed indestructible.  She outlived her husband, one of her children, two of her grandchildren, and all of her friends.  As one birthday after another passed, the standard family line was, “She’ll probably outlive all of us.”
But when Mom was about ninety, she developed a bad case of shingles, and, like a great quarterback who suffers an arm injury in his older years, she never quite recovered.  Then came the fall and the broken hip.
One by one, her cherished girlfriends answered God’s call.  But with a zest for life, she replaced her departed friends with new canasta partners in the nursing home.  Sadly, the Grim Reaper relentlessly took each of them as well, until, finally, she was the only one left.  Even so, she never complained and never tried to make anyone feel sorry for her.
She still had her family and her one great passion in life, reading.  Not politics or philosophy, but fiction.  She was a reading machine, having read thousands of books in her lifetime.
But as her new friends in the nursing home died off, life became increasingly somber and boring for Mom.  She stayed in her room most of the time, because she didn’t want to be in the open area with “those old people.”
Over the past couple of months, my mother became increasingly disoriented and agitated.  She kept trying to get up out of her wheelchair, which resulted in her falling three times.  I believe she felt imprisoned and wanted to escape the nursing home.  Finally, she stopped eating, and that’s when her organs began to shut down.
When the phone rang at 7:30 a.m. last Tuesday, I knew before I answered it what it meant.  After more than a century without a life-threatening medical condition, I believe my mom, who never once talked about dying, finally decided it was time to go.
At her advanced age, I never thought it would be difficult for me to accept her departure.  How wrong I was.  It’s hard for me to process the fact that I will never see her or hear her voice again.  An integral part of my life is now gone forever.  This past Sunday, the reality hit me that it was the first time in more than forty-one years that I had no mother to call.
About a year ago, I asked Mom something that I had never seriously discussed with her before.  “Mom,” I said, “you believe in God, don’t you?”  Without hesitation, she answered, “Of course I do.”  It was very comforting to hear her say that.
Perhaps Paul Johnson explained my feelings best when he wrote, in The Quest for God:
It is because sensible men the world over, at all times, recognised and accepted the inevitability of mighty death, that they have turned to God to explain its significance.  Without God, death is horrific.  With God, death is still fearsome, but it can be seen to have a meaning and purpose and a hope.
Meaning, purpose, and hope.  Mom would have liked those words.
